We were wrestling mad in the 80’s. The larger than life characters performed a soap opera of pretend violence which wowed us all. We had seen the likes of Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks wrestling on ITV but the WWF was a bit more Hollywood and captured our imagination. How many of these guys were you a fan of?

1. The Undertaker

The Undertaker made his WWF debut back in 1990 after a starting his career in WCW in 1984. Amazingly he still wrestles today at the age of 51 and is in great shape!

2. The Ultimate Warrior

This guy was nuts. Huge in stature but athletic too, he was a favourite amongst fans. He put so much into his character that in 1993 he changed his name legally to ‘Warrior’. The Ultimate Warrior sadly passed away in 2014.

3. Rowdy Roddy Piper

Hot Rod was a Canadian billed as coming from Glasgow.

4. Ravishing Rick Rude

Rude made his debut in July 1987 as the newest addition to the Bobby Heanan Family. One of his most famous feuds was with Jake The Snake Roberts.
