If you grew up in the 90s and early 2000’s, you will have probably seen at least one Jackass sketch. One of the main characters from the show was Bam Margera, who always stood out as having sacks of character.
When he was a kid, Bam used to have a passion for skate boarding. He was pretty good too, getting sponsored by Toy Machine Skateboards in 1997. He used to shoot videos of himself performing tricks with his friends. The vids were so good that they later independently released them as the CKY Video series in 1999.
As his popularity grew from the videos, Bam and his buddy from CKY, Ryan Dunn were drafted in to become part of the Jackass cast.
They were loved by fans of the show and after a few seasons, Jackass produced a movie and Bam got his own MTV show called Viva La Bam.
Things were all looking awesome for Bam but then tragedy hit when his friend Ryan sadly passed away. Bam took it very badly and started to turn to alcohol and a very turbulent lifestyle. It would be fair to say that he went completely off the rails.
He recently appeared on a US show called Family Therapy With Dr Jenn with his mother, in which he expressed his desire to get back on track.
Since the show, we have not seen anything of Bam until a video was uploaded this week of him back on his skateboard.
It looks like he is in much better spirits and back on his board.
He is clean cut, seems to have lost some weight and clearly has skills on his deck.
It is reported that he is trying to get back on his board and relearn how to skate. After such a crappy few years for Bam, it is so good to see him back on form and we just hope he continues to go from strength to strength.
