Who doesn’t like retro 80’s crisps, bottomless buffets, cocktails and an epic playlist?
A company called Foozie is opening the first pop-up UK crisp-themed ‘restaurant’ and is due to open for one night only in Bristol on August 30.
The website reads: “It’s true that nothing creates nostalgia like food, so we’ve decided to pay homage to the retro crisp with Bristol’s first ever Retro Crisp Pop-up. That’s right, a 2-hour bottomless buffet of over 30 types of crisps.”
For just £9.50, you have unlimited access to more than 30 varieties of 80’s/90’s crisps, including classics such as Chip Sticks, Wheat Crunchies, Quarterbacks, Tangy Toms, French Fries and Roysters.
They continue: “There will be everything from Chip Sticks to Wheat Crunchies, Quarterbacks to Tangy Toms and French Fries to Roysters. We’ll also provide a huge selection of dips and sauces as well as tons of white and brown bread to create the ultimate crisp sandwich.
“Foozie will provide a list of recommended sandwich concoctions as well as hosting a competition for the best crisp sandwich creation of the day. The winner will receive their ticket money back as a prize, so this could be the ultimate free night!”
They add: “And the 90’s doesn’t stop at the crisps, oh no! We’re going full-90’s on the drinks and music playlist, with Mad Dog 20/20, UM BONGO COCKTAILS and lots of non-alcoholic treats. Tickets are £9.50 + booking fee per person and include 2 hours of bottomless crisps, dips and bread plus lots of 90’s themed fun. Drinks are sold separately.”
As well as a lifetime’s worth of dip, they’re offering free bread for a competition on who can make the ultimate crisp sarnie.
August 30 and September 6 – 6pm to 8pm, with another session from 8.15pm to 10.15pm at Foozie in Bristol. You can get your tickets here.
