A tearful Danniella Westbrook has been seen dragging her suitcase around the streets of Liverpool after becoming homeless.

The 43-year-old reportedly lost her home and car last week after a series of unfortunate events throughout 2016 meant she couldn’t keep up with the payments.

A friend of the troubled actress told The Daily Star: “She’s been busy viewing but hasn’t found her new home.

“Obviously timing isn’t great with it being so close to Christmas but she isn’t rushing into anything and is staying with friends and family over the festive period.

“Danniella now has a whole new team around her after spending a lot of 2016 surrounded by toxic people.”

As she pulled a suitcase filled with her essential belongings down the street, Danniella could be seen weeping into her phone before entering a hotel. This new series of tragic photographs have come to light less than two weeks after her son Kai Jenkins suggested they were going through some financial difficulties.

On 7th December the musician tweeted: “I wish money was free.” Don’t we all!

Last month the ex-Eastender’s star appeared on This Morning to discuss recent photos of her with a bandaged up lip, revealing she had contracted septicaemia following a failed procedure on her mouth.

And following constant hospital stints and a split from her boyfriend, the actress also admitted she’d recently attempted to end her life.

Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, she said: “I spiralled into a depression after Big Brother. I had the best time in there. I came out so excited to get back on my feet.

“This happened and I haven’t been able to work. This has spiralled me into a depression, and I split from my boyfriend too.”

“I was so depressed all the time with everything. And one day my boyfriend was just gone. I was like, ‘I didn’t even know you at all then’.

“He had his reasons, and I wasn’t very easy to live with at the time, because I was depressed about the way I looked, not being able to make money, I felt like I was letting him and my kids down. He didn’t see it like that, but in the end it was just too much.

The former drug addict also admitted she’d relapsed, telling the hosts: “I did relapse. I thought my whole world was over when he left.”

“I tried to overdose a lot when George walked out. ”

“I felt like I’d let everybody down. I couldn’t earn money, I couldn’t do the jobs that were being offered to me, that I’d wanted for years.”

She added: “When you relapse and take drugs, you don’t see that. All you see is selfishness and a way out. You carry on taking drugs until you get to that point when you’re so low and on such a comedown that you’re just like ‘I just want to kill myself’. It’s the most selfish horrible thing.”

Eventually, the star’s friends called an ambulance, to which she said: “Thank the lord for them.”

However, Danniella insisted that she hadn’t gone back to cocaine (the drug which caused originally caused her septum to collapse in the late 90s), but had instead been taking tablets.

Discussing the operation she’d had on her mouth, she added: “I had a few medical procedures, and when I got into Big Brother, one of them really wasn’t working out for me.

“I had all my top teeth pulled out and implants put in. It started to swell, and I was told it could be septicaemia.”

“All of my top gum is gone, I’ve had bone grafts and an operation yesterday –which is why I’ve got this plaster on – and I’m having another one tomorrow.

“The whole lot of it just spiralled me into a depression. Coming out of Big Brother should have been my busiest year.”
