I mean just look at it!
It still as the Trotters Independent Trading Co writing on the side.
And on the back.
The inside is truly Del Boy through and through with its tiger print seats and door cards.
And of course the trusty dice hanging from the rear view mirror.
It even still has a little picture of Del Boy and Raquel.
And who knows what’s in the case on top!
Although it was expected to fetch only £20k, when the bidding started, it seemed that there were A LOT of people interested and in the end it went for £37,000.
And, with fees added on, the price paid by the anonymous buyer was £41,625. Mange tout, Rodney, mange tout…
It was bought by a superfan shortly after filming ended.
A spokesman for Silverstone Auctions of Warwickshire, said: “I think most people thought it would settle around the £15,000 mark so the amount it sold for was fantastic. You could say it was cushty!
“The vendor was delighted with the outcome.”
There were actually several yellow three wheeled vans were used for the recording of Only Fools and Horses over the 22 years the show ran.
What you can’t see on the pictures is that there were also two inflatable dolls in the back and a ‘tax in post’ note on the windscreen.
The van also emits smoke from the exhaust using a smoke machine to add to the authenticity.
