Geordie Shore star, Scotty T, has walked away from his role as Prince Charming in Leeds’ Snow White pantomime after rows with bosses over money.
The reality star reports that he has only received 10% of his fee, and says he even lent “the production over £7000 to cover accommodation and flooring for the venue”.
In an interview, Scotty said that he didn’t leave the production due to health reasons, but because of monetary issues. Scotty said that White Rose Productions Company, the producers of the panto, “have continually given me false promises of payment,” and that “they had not planned any method of payment.”
The Geordie Shore lad claims that the panto is a “scam,” since “In my view, this whole production has been a scam with no funds for wages from day one and false promises delivered from the directors about funds.”
Scotty says that since he walked away from the production, he has received “no contact from the directors of the company with a promise to pay.”
Scotty did issue an apology to any of his fans who had been hoping to spot him in the panto…
“I would like to apologise to everyone who has purchased tickets for the event and I’m so sorry that I will no longer be a part of this performance I am sad that I have not been able to finish my commitment to the rest of the cast. I apologise to anyone who was hoping to see me in the performance, but I hope you understand my reasons.”
Are you headed to a panto this year? Which one are you going to see? What’s the celebrity line-up like, or are you just in it for the classic panto banter?
