Laura Hiller was 18-years-old when she lost her battle with leukaemia in January of last year.
At her funeral, her fellow students and friends decided to turn Laura’s coffin into a beautiful yearbook style memorial, covering it with hundreds of messages of love and support.
According to reports, Laura, from Burlington, Canada, had been waiting for a stem cell transplant for years. By the time donors became available, there were a lack of hospital beds and so Laura’s surgery was pushed back.
Her cancer then returned in November 2015, and she had to stay in intensive care before finally being released so that she could go home just a few weeks before her death.
