2017 just got a whole lot better after this announcement. There is going to be a new Love Actually movie. And it is going to pretty much feature the same cast as the original.
The beloved romantic comedy is coming back to touch all our hearts once more.
Although the follow up is just a short ten minute film in support of Comic Relief, it is still incredibly exciting.
That’s right! It will be a special ten-minute short film for British charity Comic Relief and incredibly, many of the original cast are on board.
The film is to be written by the original writer Richard Curtis and will star — wait for it — Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Martine McCutcheon and Andrew Lincoln.
We will also see appearances from Olivia Olson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Rowan Atkinson, Lucia Moniz, Marcus Brigstocke, and Bill Nighy.
When asked about the project, Curtis said:
“It seemed like a fun idea this year to do a special sketch based on one of my films… I would never have dreamt of writing a sequel to Love Actually, but I thought it might be fun to do ten minutes to see what everyone is now up to.”
We’ve been delighted and grateful that so many of the cast are around and able to take part,” Curtis added, “and it’ll certainly be a nostalgic moment getting back together and recreating their characters 14 years later.”
We totally cant wait and not you have Love Actually on your mind, why not take our little quiz to refresh your memory of the great film.
