Love Island: Wes Returns To The Villa After Being Dumped By Megan

Yet another bombshell moment has occurred on this year’s series of Love Island with the return of Wes, whose not feeling too happy after being ditched by ‘Muggy Megan’.

Glamour model Megan famously had her head turned by Alex Miller, one of the ‘new boys’ to arrive at the villa, whilst her ex-partner Wes was staying in Casa Amor.

When host Caroline Flack asked Megan if she wanted to couple up or ‘stay single’ (i.e. stick with Wes), Megan said that she was picking Alex, which wasn’t totally surprising considering that the pair have kissed several times during Wes’ absence. However, the whole thing got a lot more awkward when Wes emerged alone, suggesting that he had opted to stay single and remain with Megan. We don’t need to say anymore, because his face says it all!

Before she made her final decision, Megan told Flack:

Although I was getting to know Wes I’ve had a really good connection with one of the new boys.

However, that didn’t stop her from looking seriously embarrassed when Wes arrived back on the scene!

Fans will know that Megan and Wes have been looking a little rocky for a while now. Megan became Love Island‘s social pariah when her fellow female contestants sided with Laura Anderson during a recent love triangle. Although Megan won that particular battle, she soon admitted to having second thoughts about the whole thing.

On last Friday’s episode she admitted:

I’m not going to lie, I’m really not feeling confident right now. The fact that it’s so fresh between us and there is no loyalties there.

He’s just taken a massive leap of faith leaving Laura. If there’s a girl that he’s better suited with there’s nothing I can do.

Matters weren’t helped when the contestants learned that the villa would be getting six new residents who were all keen for a potential coupling with Megan:

All the boys said [I’m in] their top three. Literally every boy put me in the top three. Obviously it’s a compliment.

I’m still open to get to know all of the boys. I feel like I’ve been rogue in here, I’ve done what I wanted to do, I’ve gone with my gut.

So I’m not going to stop now if there is someone I really connect with and gel with.

Poor old Wes!

There’s plenty of drama to come for the other contestants too, with the arrival of Jack Fincham’s ex-girlfriend getting in between him and Dani Dyer, as well as the trouble brewing between Josh Denzel and his partner Georgia Steel. Josh has been caught on camera getting busy with new arrival Kazimir, much to the disgust of the show’s fans.

Love Island airs every night, except Saturday, on ITV2 at 9pm.
