Here Is What The Cast Of Matilda Look Like In 2017

We all watched and loved Matilda growing up – it was a sign that we could stand up for ourselves and have a little bit of fun, without having to be perfect 24/7.

But did you know that it’s been 21 years since the film was released?! Here’s what the cast look like now:

1. Matilda Wormwood – Mara Wilson

Wilson quit acting back in 2000, despite her reputation of a rising childhood star. She has however returned to our screens in TV, appearing on Broad City and voice acting as Jill Pill on BoJack Horseman.

She recently published her book, Where Am I Now? True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame, which talks about what it was like to become famous at such a young age.

2. Harry Wormwood – Danny DeVito

DeVito has become a household name, still making regular appearances on our screens and even Broadway – he’s won two awards for his role of Gregory Solomon in The Price.

He’s set to star in Tim Burton’s Dumbo in 2019, and is a regular on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia!

3. Zinnia Wormwood – Rhea Perlman

Perlman starred in YouTube Red’s Me and My Grandma and has the regular role of Danny’s mother Annette in The Mindy Project.

4. Miss Honey – Embeth Davidtz

She appeared in Season 4 of Ray Donovan playing the role of Sonia Kovitzk.

5. Miss Trunchbull – Pam Ferris

Ferris is set to star in Holmes and Watson next year, playing the part of Queen Victoria.

6. Bruce Bogtrotter – Jimmy Karz

Karz left on a high note back in 1998, and is now studying osteopathic medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

7. Lavender – Kiami Davael

Her last acting credit was back in 2000 for her role in Bruno, although she still documents her auditions and gigs on her Instagram.

She wrote her own short film titled Reckless in 2012.

8. Amanda Thripp – Jacqueline Steiger

Stieger is apparently now working as a science teacher abroad!

9. FBI Agent Bob – Paul Reubens

His iconic character Pee-wee Herman re-appeared last year in Pee-wee’s Big Holiday.

10. FBI Agent Bill – Tracey Walter

He played Lucky Leo in Rob Zombie’s horror 31 last year.
