An ITV drama about the players of fictional football club Earls Park F.C and their wives, from its 2002 start Footballers Wives was an immediate hit, running for four years before it’s cancellation in 2006.
Full of cheating, murder, and catfights, we were sad to see it go. Maybe it’s time for a revival?
I mean who could forget the fake tan and cheesy lines delivered in these scenes that were like something from a crap porno.
Well it has now been 20 years since the show was cancelled and in that time, some of the cast have gone onto bigger and better things, while some have faded away and stepped away from acting.
Have you ever wondered what your favourite actors were up to afterwards? Wonder no more:
1. Gary Lucy as Kyle Pascoe
Kyle was an up-and-coming star player, dating the glamorous model Chardonnay.
Despite the Character’s fairytale wedding, they got to live happily-ever-after, Chardonnay dying from anorexia leading Kyle’s life to go out of control. He lost almost everything when he started gambling, and eventually left after a full nervous breakdown. Doesn’t sound very pleasant at all.
Actor Gary Lucy, who made his TV debut in BBC childrens drama Grange Hill, went on to play PC Will Fletcher in ITV’s The Bill for five years. After which he participated in Dancing on Ice, finishing in second place, before becoming Danny Pennant in Eastenders.
Lucy posted on Instagram a picture of himself and a couple of the Hollyoaks cast at the NTA’s.
In September 2006, Lucy crashed his car outside Elstree Studios and badly bruised himself, delaying the filming schedule on The Bill. Gary owned his own business, Gary Lucy Real Estate but unfortunately that was dissolved in 2014.
He now owns Driving Lessons Finder, an internet directory of driving schools and instructors and also manages several online E-shops for his parents and several smaller online businesses.
2. Susie Amy as Chardonnay Lane-Pascoe
Chardonnay was a glamour model who was unwilling to quit her job once she was marrying Kyle.
Sadly, her plan changed when a couple of drunken fans badly burnt her chest during her hen party. She died of Anorexia between seasons two and three.
Actress Susie Amy won a Television and Radio Industries Club Award for New TV Talent in 2003 and has since gone on to have roles in House of 9, Echo Beach, and Coronation Street.
Amy was brought up in Surrey and after filming Footballer’s Wives, she went onto film Pimp and Bonded by Blood in 2010 and then did a stage production of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Nile in 2012.
On 17th September 2015, she did an episode of Doctors in Birmingham, where she played a character motivated by money. Aren’t we all motivated by the good stuff?
After 13 years of being apart on screen, Gary Lucy and Susie Amy were recently united as they both appeared in Hollyoaks. They were seen walking the streets of Liverpool before filming and the chemistry is still there between them. Amy posted on Instagram a picture of them both in the Hollyoaks village.
Here Susie posted on Instagram a picture of her and Kirsty Gallacher out shopping for Susie’s birthday.
3. Ben Price as Conrad Gates
Conrad Gates was a blonde, bisexual, Beckham-esque footballer who debuted in season three, reigniting interest the show.

4. Cristian Solimeno as Jason Turner
The ultimate bad boy, Tanya’s husband Jason had no shame about publically cheating on his wife, even getting fellow team mate Kyle’s mum pregnant.
After all he’s done, Jason finally died after being pushed from a rooftop by Chardonnay in season two.
Actor Cristian Solimeno has since been in episodes of The Vicar of Dibley and Strictly Confidential, as well as briefly playing Ray McCormick in Hollyoaks until his character was killed by Grace Black (Tamara Wall).

After he awoke, he forgave them and married Tanya.
When Tanya caused him to have a viagra induced heart attack, he died, but not before getting her pregnant.
John Forgeham was already a well known film actor befor joining the show, and went on to play in three more before dying of internal bleeding in 2017.
8. Jesse Birdsall as Roger Webb
Manager Roger married Kyle’s mum Jackie, and tried to make it work before he was killed by new chairman Garry Ryan in season five.
