The show revolved around the lives of Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield who were two beautiful blonde twins who live in the fictitious Sweet Valley, California. They spend their day hanging out with each other  and their gang of friends.

Elizabeth is warm, friendly and sincere, while her twin sister Jessica is flirty, mischievous, and irresponsible.

Played by identical twins Brittany and Cynthia Daniel in the TV adaption of Francine Pascal’s novels about high school life, the Wakefield sisters were the stars of the popular sit-com.

The show’s success spawned everything from dolls to board games to a soundtrack CD.

It was eventually axed in 1997 as it’s novelty got a bit old and ratings started to decline.

At the time of the show, Brittany and Cynthia were just 18-years. after their award-winning smiles got them work as Double Mint models.

21 years later, the now 40-year-old sisters are taking a dream trip around the world together, updating their progress via Instagram as they go.

The pair are looking absolutely stunning and time has been very kind to them as you can see in this Facebook video shared to their page this Christmas.

Their Instagram is full of pics of the pair looking amazing too.

As you can tell from this snap above, the twins haven’t changed a bit and are just as gorgeous (and identical) as ever!

And whether cycling through Tuscan Vineyards or shopping for homeware in Mexico, the pair look like they’re really enjoying themselves. She is now in a relationship with actor Jay Ellis. In 2014 she was diagnosed with blood cancer, but has fortunately been given the all-clear.

Cynthia decided not to continue acting, and has only made one TV apperance since her Sweet Valley High Days, making a brief cameo with her twin sister in That 80’s Show in 2002.

She is now a photographer, and has settled down with American film and television actor Cole Kenneth Hauser. The couple have been married for ten years, and have three kids.

Despite their very different paths in life, the twins are obviously still very close. They even coordinate their outfits on the red carpet!
