It is now just about 70 years since the birth of the true icon – Freddie Mercury.
Born Farrokh Bulsara, he entered the world on September 5 1946 and went on to become a world mega star.
Freddie and his band Queen wrote and performed some of the most iconic tracks ever made. Friddie released his first music in 1973 – a solo number called I Can Hear The Music under the name Larry Lurex, followed by one with the band Queen, called Keep Yourself Alive. The next one came in the form of Love Kills, in 1984.
He was taken from this world far too young at the age of just 45. In his memory, his singles are being released in the form of a special box set Messenger Of The Gods: The Singles. It features 13 of his best solo singles, including I Was Born To Love You (1985) and the famous Barcelona (1987).
The little quiz below will test your memory of one of his best tracks – Bohemian Rhapsody?
