Charlize Theron

Charlie Hunnan

Andrew Lincoln

Hugh Laurie

When Hugh Laurie sent off his audition tape for the medical drama House, executive producer Bryan Singer reportedly remarked: “See, this is what I want, an American guy.” Embarrassingly for Singer, Laurie is British, and he’s starred in some of the most quintessentially British shows of all time, including Blackadder and Jeeves and Wooster.

Robert Pattinson
