American Idol Star Carrie Underwood Says Faith & Family Helped In Darkest Times, Says “God Heard Me”

    Sometimes life throws things at us that we simply do not feel prepared for. We struggle to make sense of a world that can seem so sometimes seem so cruel. In these times we must trust in our faith, friends and family.

    This was certainly the case for three-time Grammy winner, Carrie Underwood. Carrie has recently revealed in a series of interviews just how she overcame the most difficult periods of her life through trusting in God and leaning on her family.

    Above is a photo from Carrie’s personal Instagram account in which she wishes a Happy Father’s day to her husband. Clearly, their family unit is incredibly close-knit and that’s a real joy to see!

    The American Idol singer has opened up about how she has needed the support network of her family and faith following three miscarriages.

    Underwood and her partner were blessed with their son Isaiah in 2015 but speaking to CBS News she spoke about miscarrying for the first time in 2017;

    “In the beginning it was like, ‘Okay, God, we know this is, just wasn’t Your timing. And that is all right. We will bounce back and figure our way through it.’ And got pregnant again in the spring, and it didn’t work out.”

    “Got pregnant again, early 2018. Didn’t work out. So, at that point, it was just kind of like, ‘Okay, like, what’s the deal? What is all of this?’

    When questioned as to whether there was “a point when you’re like, looking up, going, ‘What are you doing to me?'”, Underwood responded;

    “I had always been afraid to be angry. Because we are so blessed. And my son, Isaiah, is the sweetest thing. And he’s the best thing in the world. And I’m like, ‘If we can never have any other kids, that’s okay, because he’s amazing.’

    And I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about? I can’t. I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No.”

    However, one night after Underwood thought she would miscarry again she describes praying as she never have done before. She said;

    “And for the first time, I feel like I actually I told God how I felt. And I feel, like, we’re supposed to do that. That was like a Saturday – and the Monday I went to the doctor to, like, confirm, another miscarriage. And they told me everything was great!

    “And I was like, ‘You heard me.’ Not that He hasn’t in the past. But maybe, I don’t know, He heard me.”

    “God heard your prayer?”

    “He did.”

    Underwood later gave birth to her son, Jacob. She describes her baby boy as; “just this perfect little bundle of a smiley guy.”

    What a gorgeous little boy!

    Carrie said;

    “I’ve always wanted to be a good daughter to my parents but also to God and not complain, because we are beyond blessed. I get to do what I love, I have an incredible family […] I have all of these amazing people around me, and I don’t want to complain, ever.”

    What a beautiful attitude Carrie Underwood kept, I’m so glad things worked out for her and her family and they were blessed with another beautiful son.
