Either Party Could Have Written That
These kids seem to be doing pretty well, and we have to give props to their dad. The vibe of this sign is like, “Mom, how could you?” which could have come from either the kids or the dad, but we’re thinking it’s more of a kid thing with those bright colors. Although, they did forget to leave space for the “s” at the end of “days.” So close, yet so far from perfection!
Such a Flattering Image
It appears to be an unwritten law that when making an airport pick-up sign for a friend of the same age, you must choose the strangest and most unflattering picture of them. Ouch. It might seem a little harsh to Crystal, but don’t worry – Crystal will probably got her own back on Kristina the next time she went on a trip. Revenge is sweet, or so they say.
Just a Purely Good Moment
In a world full of negativity and bad news, it’s nice to see something that’s just happy and positive. The sign is bright green and features two cute little pears and a bunch of hearts, and everyone in the picture is smiling. It’s clear that the couple in the photo is in love, and it’s just a really sweet moment captured on camera.
The Microwave Broke
After leaving the kids alone for a while, they get to experience a bit of independence and see what it’s like to take care of themselves, while the parents get some alone time. This particular kid – and probably some others, judging by the sign – is excited to have their parents back, mostly because making dinner every night is hard work. Maybe they did what my parents did and stocked the freezer with six huge pans of KFC chicken. And no, I’m not kidding, that actually happened.

It’s all about the bond between a father and his daughter. Apparently, this dad had been away on a trip for a whole three weeks, but when he finally got back, he was greeted with a big smile from his little girl. There are a couple of pictures of them together, and even though he looks pretty exhausted in one of them, you can tell that he’s happy to be home with his family.

This airport sign seems like it has some extra oomph to it, but the details are where it really gets interesting. Right at the top, we’ve got “The Twerkulator” listed, which sounds like it could be a wild ride. Next up, we’ve got “WORLD” in all caps, so maybe they’re trying to take over the globe or something. The last two bullet points are probably just more inside jokes unless they’re secretly mermaids who love the beach.
Hold on, What’s That Fourth One?
This airport sign is small, cute, and well-designed, with the phrase “Life Pickler” taking center stage. But seriously, what does “Life Pickler” even mean? Is it a clever pun or just a personal joke between friends? We’re not sure, but we hope it’s the latter. Overall, it’s a fun and lighthearted sign created by a friend for her friend, with the addition of the classic “give alcohol” joke that seems to be popular among airport signs.
So…Who Is It for, Then?
This lady was just bored at the airport and decided to make a sign to entertain herself. But our best guess is that she used to be a missionary, and now she’s back home, so the sign is sort of like a celebration of that. It’s not the most exciting sign, but it’s something. Honestly, we can’t really think of any other reasons why someone would make this sign, so we’re just going to stick with our theory.
We Might Be Missing Something
So, we did some digging and found out that “Shen So Su” means “Spirit of healing and love.” It’s one of those crystal meditation things, so, you know…fake. They probably credit their good vibes to positive energies or something like that. And check out that ride! Definitely not a beat-up old Mercury Tracer with more rust than paint and a motor that sounds like an old hog. That’s for sure.
Back to the Basics
This sign was made with just thirty minutes to spare before the pick-up person had to leave for the airport. It looks like it’s just a piece of construction paper with some writing done on an old marker. But hey, sometimes simplicity is all you need, right? You just need to know where to go – you don’t need a big production.
We’d Be Excited About an Angel, Too
So, the sign says, “Angel, Do you want to build a sandman?” which is a reference to Frozen. Making a sandman is not as easy as making a snowman, but you can do it if you have enough time. We don’t know who Angel is; it could be a friend, cousin, or maybe even a pet. Whoever it is, this kid is excited about their arrival.
Better to Have a Sign
People usually hold up signs at the airport to meet someone they don’t know. They know who to go to when they see their name on a sign. So, most of the signs on this list aren’t really needed. But there’s always a chance that the person getting off the plane might suffer from targeted amnesia and forget everything about their past life. What do you do then? Simple – make a sign with their name on it. Problem solved.
The Perfect Choice
It looks like something a mythical creature with large feet would yell out in anger. However, it starts to make sense when you find out that the person they’re picking up has the last name Blarg. Yes, that’s what we’re told anyway. With such an unusual name to look for, these two got the idea to dress up in costumes, and Bigfoot is a choice that can’t be beat.
Too Complicated
It’s like the person who made this sign couldn’t settle for just one or two odd elements to welcome their friend Amy. There’s a creepy face, a kiwi holding scissors, half a horse with tiny writing, and lots of praise for Amy because she’s a superstar. But, the fact that it’s on a large sketch pad tells us that the person who made it is an artist, so that explains a lot.
Payback Is a Big Sign
Allison once forgot to give Casey her passport, and that made Casey miss her trip. So, when it was time for Casey to pick up Allison, she decided to get her revenge. How? By driving super slow in this van with a big sign that basically says, “Hey, Allison messed up, and now she’s paying for it.” Ouch. Can you imagine how embarrassing it must be to have everyone see you crawling along in this thing? Moral of the story: don’t mess with Casey.
Science Experiment
Parents will do anything for some peace and quiet, and they’ll even go as far as filling in for their kid’s science lessons. But what happens when the experiment goes wrong? Well, they end up with a new four-legged friend, and the kids won’t be skipping school anymore. Looks like they won’t have to worry about some things anymore.
