Decorate Your Dorm Room And We’ll Tell You Which Harry Potter House You Belong To
Let Our Expert Quiz Confirm It For You
You can learn a lot about someone from the space in which they live. The pictures on the wall, the bric-à-bric and mementos they choose to keep around, even the stray pet hairs on the pillows or the number of toothbrushes by the sink - they all paint a picture of the kind of life someone is living. Even much more abstract choices, like the colours someone chooses for an accent wall, or the number of cushions they keep on the sofa, can imply things about a person's personality. First and foremost: whether or not they like cushions.
The question is: is it possible to guess a person's Hogwarts house from just their choice of decor? Obviously, some choices lend themselves to one house more than others. For example, if you're the type to favour ceiling-to-floor bookshelves on three out of four walls then it's not unreasonable to suggest that you might be a Ravenclaw. However, can someone's subtle aesthetic choices really line up with their values and personality well enough to correctly indicate their house?
That's what we're trying to find out! Imagine you've just arrived at Hogwarts, and have been given a budget to decorate your dorm room for the first time. Go through the questions picking the decor options that appeal to you the most, and we'll see if they point to the Hogwarts house you also feel in your heart. If we get it right, then great! We'll put the Sorting Hat out of a job. If you think we have it wrong... well, maybe you're wrong about where you really belong. You'd do well in Slytherin, boy...
About Go Social ▼▲
Founded in 2016, Go Social started small. Beginning as a blog posting on 80s and 90s life as well as the movies, music and television of the era, Eighties Kids has in a short space of time exploded in scope and ambition. Operating out of Eighties Kids HQ in sunny Ilkley, in the North of England, today a growing team of writers produces original content day in and day out for one of the best new nostalgia sites on the web.
With the site also growing beyond its original remit, the Go Social team now covers not just trivia from the 80s and 90s, but pop culture of all decades that’s of interest to children of the 80s, 90s and beyond. From shocking and obscure fact posts on your favourite movies and bands, to quizzes on classic TV shows and film franchises, to picture galleries on celebrities from past and present, Eighties Kids is here to take you down memory lane, test your knowledge of classic pop culture and maybe even occasionally blow your mind.
