Hugh Laurie then
Before joining House in the title role in 2004, British actor Hugh Laurie was well known in his native Britain for his previous comedy work as part of the duo Fry and Laurie, starring alongside real-life best friend Stephen Fry. Laurie’s comedic timing helped him in delivering his dead-pan, curmudgeon performance as Dr Gregory House. House brought Laurie two of his three Golden Globe awards.

After House wrapped in 2012, Laurie would go on to claim his third Golden Globe for his work in the BBC mini-series The Night Manager. A skilled musician, Laurie released two blues albums to critical acclaim in 2011 and 2013. Laurie is married to his long time partner, theatre administrator Jo Green. They married in 1989 and have three children.
Robert Sean Leonard then
Robert Sean Leonard played Dr James Wilson, Dr House’s only true friend on the show. Serving as part of a somewhat Sherlock Holmes and Wilson due, the pair formed a strong personal friendship due to their work together on the show. Dr Wilson would be Leonard’s best known and most acclaimed role since Dead Poets Society.

Following on from House, Leonard would return to his first love, the theater. He starred in David Lee’s musical adaptation of Camelot in 2016, playing the role of King Arthur and in 2017’s Broadway revival of Sunday in the Park with George. Leonard married his professional equestrian wife Gabriella Salick in 2008; they have two children.
Lisa Edelstein then
Lisa Edelstein starred as hospital Dean of Medicine Dr Lisa Cuddy. Her character would often come to blows with Laurie’s Dr House over his inability to follow proper procedures and constantly breaking the rules. The characters do share an on-screen kiss, but thankfully, this was only in a hallucination sequence as fans hated it.

Edelstein left House after season seven, reportedly due to pay negotiations. Edelstein’s real life desire for a child mirrored that of her House character and producers wrote this into the show. Edelstein found what she described as her dream role in 2004’s Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce. She is married to artist Robert Russel, and is step-mom to his two sons.
Omar Epps then
Omar Epps portrayed neurologist Dr Eric Foreman in House, a constant procedural thorn in the side of the maverick Dr House. House was not Epps’ first foray into medical dramas, as he had previously played Dr Dennis Gant in ER For his work as Dr Forman, Epps won NAACP Image Awards in 2007, 2008 and 2013.

Epps would go on to find roles in ABC’s Resurrection in 2014 and Netflix thriller Fatal Affair in 2020. Released in 2018, Epps’ autobiography, Fatherless to Fatherhood, focuses on his early upbringing in Brooklyn by a single mom and his marriage to R&B star Keisha Spivey. They married in 2006 and have two children, while Epps has an older daughter from a previous relationship.
Jennifer Morrison then
Jennifer Morrison played Dr Allison Cameron on House, enjoying an on-off flirtatious relationship with Laurie’s Dr House before eventually entering a relationship with Dr Robert Chase. Cameron’s character left the show in season six following the breakdown of her relationship with Chase, but returned for the show’s final episode.

Morrison would go on to star in How I Met Your Mother in 2010 as recurring character Zoey. She would star as the lead role in ABC’s Snow White spinoff Once Upon a Time until 2017. Since 2019, Morrison has been in a relationship with actor Geraldo Celasco after breaking off an engagement with fellow House actor Jesse Spencer in 2007.
