Are You A Manipulative Person? Take This Quiz To Find Out

Let Our Expert Quiz Confirm It For You

Movies are full of children manipulating adults into doing what they want. Whether it's the prank-heavy antics of Bart Simpson or the literal geospatial manipulation of Roald Dahl's Matilda, there's no doubt that manipulation is one of our earliest power fantasies.

Whether consciously or subconsciously, very few of us can say that we've never resorted to underhand behaviour or the wanton tugging of emotions. Manipulative behaviour includes identifying people's vulnerabilities and insecurities and turning these weak points against them. But surely it's more effective, and more moral, to engage in mature conversation - and even to compromise, rather than trying to twist other people around your little finger.

Plus, manipulation rarely works out as a long-term strategy. Placing unwarranted blame on others can often lead to bitterness and angst. But it has to be said that sometimes the urge to manipulate someone can be hard to resist - sometimes, in fact, it seems like the easiest option! So are you a master manipulator, relying on your charm and guile to get by, or a cold logician who simply tells it like it is?

Luckily for you, we've got a quiz for that. Just answer the following questions as honestly as possible (do note: this is a manipulation-free zone) and all will be revealed. Well, what are you waiting for?

About Go Social

Founded in 2016, Go Social started small. Beginning as a blog posting on 80s and 90s life as well as the movies, music and television of the era, Eighties Kids has in a short space of time exploded in scope and ambition. Operating out of Eighties Kids HQ in sunny Ilkley, in the North of England, today a growing team of writers produces original content day in and day out for one of the best new nostalgia sites on the web.

With the site also growing beyond its original remit, the Go Social team now covers not just trivia from the 80s and 90s, but pop culture of all decades that’s of interest to children of the 80s, 90s and beyond. From shocking and obscure fact posts on your favourite movies and bands, to quizzes on classic TV shows and film franchises, to picture galleries on celebrities from past and present, Eighties Kids is here to take you down memory lane, test your knowledge of classic pop culture and maybe even occasionally blow your mind.
