Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson began dating Saturday Night Live performer and writer Colin Jost in 2017 before marrying him in 2020. This is the Black Widow star’s third marriage, after divorces in 2011 and 2017, the first being from actor Ryan Reynolds. Johansson and Jost welcomed a son in 2021, her second child following the birth of her daughter in 2014, with second husband Romain Duriac.

Robert Downey Jr

Iron Man star Downey met his producer wife on the set of the 2003 movie Gothika. Downey credits Susan Downey as the main reason he was able to overcome his substance abuse issues and the success his career saw after they married in 2005. They share two children together and Susan is step-mother to Downey’s first son from a previous marriage.

Not content with keeping their on-screen Spider-Man and MJ relationship in the fictional world, Rom Holland and Zendaya are dating in real life too. Zendaya revealed Hollywood’s worst kept secret with an Instagram post for Holland’s 26th birthday in 2022, by sharing a black and white image of the couple captioned “Happiest of birthdays to the one who makes me the happiest.”

David Harbour

While on-screen he plays the Soviet Union’s first superhero, the Red Guardian, David Harbour, away from the MCU, married British pop star Lily Allen in 2020. Their ceremony was officiated by an Elvis impersonator in Las Vegas and Harbour is step-father to Allen’s two daughters. Allen is the daughter of celebrated British actor Keith Allen.

Rachel Weisz

British actress Rachel Weisz portrays Melina Vostokoff in the MCU and while her character sees plenty of action on-screen, it’s nothing compared to that of her husband Daniel Craig, James Bond himself. The couple tied the knot in 2011 after less than a year of dating. Their ceremony was only attended by four guests, including Weisz’s son and Craig’s daughter.

Gwyneth Paltrow

It was during Paltrow’s 2014 ‘conscious recoupling’ divorce from Coldplay’s Chris Martin that she began dating her now husband, Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk. The couple first met on the set of Glee in 2010, and they married in a Hamptons ceremony in 2018. In a bizarre move, Paltrow’s ex-husband Martin accompanied the couple on their Maldives honeymoon.

Hemsworth and Spanish model and actress Elsa Pataky began dating in 2010 and married the same year. Pataky has starred in the Fast & Furious franchise and was a Maxim cover model in 2006. The couple have three children, including twin sons.

Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman has portrayed Jane Foster in the MCU since 2011, but it was Portman’s time working on her 2010 Oscar-winning role in Black Swan when she met her husband, choreographer Benjamin Millepied. The couple married in a Jewish ceremony in 2012 and have two children. As recently as August 2023, rumours have surfaced of an affair on Millepied’s part, leading to a separation.

Samuel L Jackson

Jackson met his actress wife, LaTanya Richardson, in 1970 while he was attending Atlanta’s Morehouse College while she was at Spelman College. The couple wed in 1980 and have a daughter, Zoe, born in 1982.
