Cersei Lannister – Game of Thrones

Cersei Lannister has certainly proven she is a villain, ruling with an iron will and at times vengefully taking down her enemies. Her actions however can also be described as brave, smart and downright fierce. She always follows through with her threats and handled the demands of the Iron Bank which ultimately allowed her to rule as a woman in a man’s world.

Death – Supernatural

The character of Death in Supernatural is an upholder of the natural order and the natural end to life. Of all the supernatural beings in the show, and for all his callousness, he is generally one of the more helpful and apathetic – not forgetting he is only an antagonist due to being enslaved by Lucifer during the Apocalypse.

Walter White – Breaking Bad

He understands that to make it in this world, you have to be ruthless and nothing proved this more than defending his son Kendall. He respects the hustle, no matter how it personally affected him.

Wilson Fisk – Daredevil

Wilson Fisk, also known as the Kingpin, seeks to control Hell’s Kitchen to bring order and eliminate corruption. Although his methods are ruthless, he genuinely believes that his actions will lead to a better future for the city, aiming to eradicate the chaos and restore stability through his iron-fisted rule.

Gus Fring – Breaking Bad

Gus Fring, a prominent drug lord and legitimate business owner, meticulously plans his criminal activities. He believes that his calculated approach can bring stability and eliminate the chaos caused by rival drug cartels, envisioning a more organized and controlled drug trade that minimizes violence and collateral damage.

Benjamin Linus – Lost

Benjamin Linus is a manipulative and enigmatic character, often acting in his own self-interest. However, his complex motivations and the depth of his leadership on the island demonstrate a broader perspective, driven by the belief that the island’s mysterious powers must be protected and harnessed for the greater good.

Negan – The Walking Dead

Negan is a charismatic and brutal leader of the Saviors. While his methods are extreme, he believes that his ruthless rule is necessary to maintain order and survival in a post-apocalyptic world, aiming to eliminate weakness and build a society where people can rely on each other in the face of constant danger.

Clare Underwood – House of Cards

Originally portrayed on the show as part of a scheming, manipulative power couple, it’s as the show progresses through it’s later seasons that Underwood’s full character is shown. After revealing publicly that she suffered trauma in early life, Underwood’s ruthless attitude became easier to understand.

Villanelle – Killing Eve

Villanelle from Killing Eve is a complicated character. While she is a ruthless and dangerous killer, her character highlights the unfair expectations and restrictions placed on women. She challenges the idea of what it means to be a woman and questions societal norms. However, it’s important to remember that her violent actions are still wrong and cannot be justified.
