Patrick Dempsey – Jillian Fink (Hairdresser)

Way before Patrick Dempsey was the leading man he is today and “Dr. McDreamy” on Grey’s Anatomy, he fell in love with his hairstylist, Jillian Frank. Sources say that during his wedding he cried tears of happiness when she walked down the aisle. The two have hit some rocky times, but have been able to hold their family together.

“I really love it now,” Dempsey said of acting, “but I also have a life outside it with Jill and Tallula.”

Tobey Maguire – Jennifer Meyer (Jewelry Designer)

Tobey Maguire is famous for his roles in Spider-Man, The Great Gatsby, and Seabiscuit. He actually met his wife, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, on the set of that movie in 2003 (Meyer’s father is the head of Universal Studios) and the two were married three years later. They have two children together.

“Tobey is the best father in the entire world,” Meyer said. But after nine years of marriage, the two grew too far apart and officially called it quits.

Conan O’Brien – Liza Powel (Ad Rep)

Talk-show host and funnyman Conan O’Brien said it was love at first sight when he spotted his now-wife, Liza Powel, in the audience while taping Late Night With Conan O’Brien. She fell for him, too, and they were married in 2002. O’Brien said Powel caught his eye because she is “incredibly beautiful,” but added that she is a really good person. The couple now has two children together.

Kelsey Grammer – Kayte Walsh (Flight Attendant)

“Cheers” to Kelsey Grammer and Kayte Walsh for finding love on an airplane. Although the two met while Kelsey was still married, they made a go of it, married, and are enjoying a nice life together. Things are still touchy with Grammer’s ex-wife, who holds a big grudge, but she, too, has moved on.

Matt Damon – Luciana Barroso (Bartender)

Matt and Luciana met in 2003, and it was love at first sight. She was tending a bar in Miami while Damon was filming a movie. They married two years later in a small private ceremony and their life has been picture perfect – well, in Hollywood terms – ever since. Fast forward to the present. Nicolas Cage was married a few times before he met his wife, Alice Kim, and they married in 2004. Both of his former wives were famous, too, and since that didn’t work out he took a chance on Kim, a waitress. The pair divorced in 2016.

When Elvis Presley first laid eyes on 14-year-old Priscilla Wagner he already was rock‘n’roll famous. Her parents, and Wagner herself, knew plenty about Presley, so it wasn’t just the age difference that worried them. Her parents gave in, and the rest is history. The two had one daughter together, Lisa Marie Presley. Their love affair couldn’t withstand Elvis’ lifestyle, and Priscilla asked for a divorce in 1972, which was finalized in 1973.

Chris Martin – Gwyneth Paltrow

This is a funny love story because the papers were writing about these two dating and they hadn’t even met. Is that kismet or what? Chris Martin mentioned Gwyneth Paltrow’s name at one of his Coldplay concerts and the rumor mill blew up. At a different concert, Martin’s manager asked her to come backstage. They instantly fell in love and dated, continuing a long-distance romance. (He lived in England.) Their relationship brought two children, Apple and Moses, into the world, but that wasn’t enough to keep them together. The couple split up in 2014 after 10 years together.

Christian Bale – Sibi Blazic (Model & Personal Assistant)

Christian Bale has won the hearts of many of his fans, but his wife has clearly won his heart. The actor met Sandra “Sibi” Blazic, a former model, when she was Winona Ryder’s personal assistant. They married in 2000 and now have two children together. The self-proclaimed bachelor had to explain why he changed his tune about marriage. “I know that it would be impossible to do it without her … I owe everything to her,” Bale said.

Julia Roberts – Danny Moder (Cameraman)

Pretty woman and A-list actress Julia Roberts fell in love with her cameraman on the set of The Mexican and married him in July 2002. They live a picture-perfect life with their three kids, Finn, Hazel, and Henry. Roberts is still head over heels for her husband, and when asked if she was obsessed with anything, she pointed to her husband.

“There’s something about having the safest place in the world for you in the same room,” she said.

Fergie – Josh Duhamel

Josh Duhamel was crushing for The Black Eyed Peas singer before they even met. He was so smitten by her that he asked his Las Vegas producers if The Black Eyed Peas could appear on an episode. And they did just that. Duhamel remembers laying out his outfit the night before they met. When the opportunity came, all he could say is, “You’re hot!” The line must have worked because the two fell in love, married in 2009, and now have a son, Axl Jack.

The Green Day rocker and his bride of over 20 years are still going strong. They met in a basement where Green Day was playing, and as Billie Joe scanned the audience, it was love at first sight when he spotted Adrienne Nesser. She gave him her number after the concert and the rest is a love story for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He has said, “She’s my world. If I lose her, I lose my world, my everything…”

Reese Witherspoon – Jim Toth (Talent Agent)

Legally Blonde star Reese Witherspoon was smitten when she met her future husband at a mutual friend’s party. “This really drunk guy was hitting on me, making such an idiot of himself, yelling at me,” Witherspoon said. Toth reportedly “rescued” her from the inebriated man and the sparks flew from there. They fell in love, married, and now are parents to a son, Tennessee. (Witherspoon has two children with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.) Rumors were circulating that the two were going to split, but they’re still going strong!

Jessica Alba – Cash Warren (Production Assistant)

This is truly a fantastic love story! Jessica Alba fell for her production assistant, Cash Warren while filming Fantastic Four. “It was a love at first sight thing, but I was dating someone else so it started off as a friendship,” Alba said. She revealed that she cared for him right away and wanted to be around him forever. They were engaged in 2007 and married a year later. They now have three children together.

Adam Sandler – Jackie Titone (Model)

In the late 1990s into the early 2000s, comedy and Adam Sandler were synonymous. Sandler had a string of comedy blockbusters, including the movie Big Daddy, where a young actress was getting her big break. Jacqueline Titone played a waitress in the film and met Sandler, and sparks instantly flew. They fell in love and married in 2003. (Sandler’s bulldog, Meatball, was the best man.) The couple has two children, Sadie and Sunny, and are as happy today as they were when they met years ago.

The supermodel and NFL MVP hit it off instantly. They were set up on a blind date in 2006 by a mutual friend who thought they would be great together. “I knew Tom was the one straightaway,” said Bündchen, who is the highest-paid model in the world. “I could see it in his eyes that he was a man with integrity who believes in the same things I do.” They hit it off, were married three years later, and now share two children together.

Mariah Carey – Nick Cannon

Mariah Carey and budding actor Nick Cannon met when he presented her with the Choice Music R&B Artist Award at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards. He reportedly had already had a crush on her, but it took a few years to get the love bug biting. This unlikely couple met and shared french fries. “I knew she was the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with,” said Cannon. Carey, similarly, called Cannon her soulmate. They were married the same year and had twins, but couldn’t make it last. They called it quits a few years later.

Russell Brand – Katy Perry

These two lovebirds had a wonderful relationship while it lasted. They met while filming a scene for Brand’s Get Him to the Greek. They fell in love and were engaged less than four months after they started dating. They married 10 months later in October of 2010, but alas it wouldn’t last. Russell ended their relationship via text message while Perry was on tour. (Dude, no…) Perry later said, “Let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me on December 31, 2011.”

Steve Harvey – Marjorie Harvey (Audience Member)

Steve Harvey and his wife knew they were a match made in heaven. “I was over the moon for Steve when I first met him,” Marjorie Harvey said.

She was in the audience of one of his shows, but it took some time for their long-distance relationship to happen. Harvey was married three times before the wedding to Marjorie, and he credits her with making him a better man and changing his life.

Ringo Starr – Maureen Cox (Hairdresser)

Beatles rocker Ringo Starr fell in love with 18-year-old Maureen Cox, who was studying to be a hairdresser. Cox, despite being just a teenager, was frequenting the Cavern Club, a popular hangout for the world-renowned band. They married in 1965 and had three children together. According to reports, they went everywhere together and had a very strong relationship, but that didn’t end up being enough — or maybe it was too much of a good thing. They divorced in 1975 due to Starr’s rumored drinking problem and cheating.

Anne Hathaway – Adam Shulman (Jewelry Designer)

Actress Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman — also an actor and a jewelry designer — were set up by a mutual friend and started dating in 2008. The Les Misérables Oscar winner and Shulman married four years later, in 2012. “We hit it off immediately, but it took us a pretty long time to get together,” said Hathaway. “I’m his and he’s mine.”

Wiz Khalifa – Amber Rose

Amber Rose remembers how she felt when she met her husband Wiz Khalifa. She reportedly told herself, “No more dating rappers!” But Khalifa’s charm was too strong and the two fell in love instantly. “I told my mom I’m going to have all his babies. I just want to be with him forever.” “Forever” must have meant until 2014, because they split and there have been rumors of infidelity on both sides.

Ruben Studdard – Zuri McCants (Met in Walmart)

American Idol winner Ruben Studdard met his bride at an autograph signing at a Walmart store in 2006. “We became instant friends and dated, got engaged, and married,” recalled Studdard. The couple had difficulties, just like his singing career, that eventually led them down the road to divorce in 2012.

John Travolta – Kelly Preston

Kelly Preston and John Travolta are both actors who met while filming The Experts. Travolta felt chemistry with Preston, but they were both in relationships and didn’t act on their feelings. Years later, in 1990, their paths would meet again, and within six months he proposed and they tied the Hollywood knot. “He always said he waited for me,” Preston said. Preston sadly passed away from breast cancer in 2020.
