Any women who’s ever tried breastfeeding (aka living hell) will know that doing the thing really is not as easy as it looks (it was a long time ago now but believe me I still remember it all too well…).
When the the little blighter (we love them really) doesn’t latch onto our poor nipples correctly, us women suffer all kinds of – very painful – problems. Yes people – there’s blisters, there’s cracks and there’s lots of blood. And I mean LOTS.
So, listen to this, if you know me at all (and I’m sure you do by now), you’ll know that I really, really don’t like it when new moms get slack for no reason – and I’m sure I’m not alone here, right?
Now, I say this in my own (very fond) way… but if you’ve got a problem with a woman breastfeeding her baby in the park, then it’s YOUR problem, not hers. You get where this is going, don’t you?
Trust me, you’ll be shocked by this story I’m about to tell you…
It seems like nursing moms can’t even sit down to feed their baby without some person asking them to stop. This is exactly what happened here. When a woman was breastfeeding in a park, another women asked her to leave because her husband was getting distracted by it.
Thankfully, this mom didn’t back down that easily…
‘To the lady Dartford park who thought it was appropriate to breastfeed her baby whilst my child and very easily distracted husband sat near by. I don’t think it was necessary for you to react the way you did just because I asked you to go somewhere private, telling me to **** off and squirting me with your boobs was incredibly uncalled for. I hope you are ashamed of yourself!’
This is what a lady posted on her Facebook. Obviously, it didn’t go down that well with some…
‘Her reaction is not on but why shouldn’t she feed her baby in public? I would have had a few choice words for you if you had asked me to go else where. There is something wrong with people who think seeing someone breastfeeding is inappropriate’.
Hmmm… how do I put this – Anna reacted to the post with some seriously accurate home truths!
‘You deserve what you got. If you don’t like it don’t look, if you don’t trust your husband deal with it. That woman was feeding her child and you interfered in her lift, not the other way round’.
Danielle’s a woman after my own heart – she got straight to the point…
‘This is not serious surely?! A baby can’t eat because your husband is easily distracted?! Has he never seen a boob?! Perhaps you could show him one so he won’t be distracted in the future!! And if it is true and she squirted at you then that’s just made my day – no week!
Hayley sure didn’t hold back…
‘Sorry but more fool you for telling a mother feeding her child to go somewhere private. She shouldn’t have done what she did but you also shouldn’t have done that. Not her fault if your husband acts like that. Maybe next time you’ll think before asking a mother to feed her child in public! You’re an absolute idiot and its people like you who make mums feel like they can’t feed their children.’
There was absolutely no beating around the bush for Kirby here.
‘Breastfeeding is natural. If your hubby can’t keep his eyes averted that’s his problem and if your jealous of another ladies boobs that’s your problem Yes she was a bit rude but breastfeeding is natural. So stop judging women who do it and leave them be. That’s my opinion.’
You go Leyla, just said what I was thinking!
