Brooks Way was recently suspended from the X Factor, and it has been revealed that Josh Brooks has “disturbing anger problems” and “regularly beats up his identical twin brother”.
X Factor producers suspended Brooks Way just hours before Saturday night’s show was due to begin due to an investigation needing to take place.
Sources close to the duo have come forward, saying:
“It was known throughout their camp that Josh had a big problem with anger – he would lose it with his fists if anyone spoke to him in a way he thought was disrespectful. He regularly used to beat up Kyle, who wouldn’t fight back. The sad thing is Josh is really great guy and was popular with his management – he just has a very disturbing problem with anger.”
Josh’s ex-girlfriend, Amelia Clark, has backed these allegations. She confessed that Josh was so violent that police pleaded with her to get a restraining order. However, she refused and now lives in New York.
Talking to a friend, she said: “For the first year everything between me and Josh was OK. It was after he and Kyle went on X Factor in 2014 that things went downhill. Josh got really arrogant and he was getting loads of attention from girls, who he was messaging behind my back, but he still sort of wanted me.”
Josh and Kyle made it to the judge’s houses back in 2014 but failed to get through to the live shows.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Amelia said: “The first time he lashed out at me was after a girl he had been messaging called me — he tried to wrestle the phone off me and hit me in the face, causing a nosebleed.”
“It really hurt, but the shock hit me harder than anything else. I never thought he was like that.”
“After that I ended things, but he apologised two weeks later and I agreed to get back together. We broke up so many times, but we’d always get back together because when I would try to leave he’d threaten me, saying: ‘Watch what happens’.”
The blonde is pictured in the newspaper with various facial injuries, and she claims that Josh continued to punch her in the back and that there was nobody around to help. She attempted to use her phone, but he threatened to smash it so she ran upstairs and locked herself in the bathroom until he left.
Attacks were so regular that police asked Amelia to get a restraining order. Josh denied all allegations at a New Years Party ten months ago, but the duo has been suspended from the show pending further investigation into Josh sending violent threatening messages to his ex.
An X Factor source told The Mirror today: “They’re investigating serious allegations about Josh allegedly sending threatening messages to her.”
The duo has been removed from the contestant house and it is believed that they are staying in a nearby hotel.
