Are You Young At Heart? Take This Quiz To Find Out
Let Our Expert Quiz Confirm It For You
Plenty of people believe themselves to be old souls. They listen to music from before their time, watch movies that were popular before they were born and embrace fashion and decor that even their parents would probably think to be stuffy and old-fashioned. Still more people strive to be mature for their age, trying to develop grown-up likes and dislikes and adopting hobbies that they think will make them seem more sophisticated.
However, far fewer people embrace being young at heart. Despite the cultural resurgence of 'childish' things, like colouring books and Animal Crossing, it remains distinctly uncool as an adult to admit a love for Disney films and climbing trees, and that you have to resist the urge to eat cake batter straight out of the bowl.
Still, embracing your inner child and remaining unafraid to have fun is an awesome way to live your life. It gives you the opportunity to be more adventurous, more creative and more spontaneous, even if you might seem uncool and over-enthusiastic to everyone around you.
With that said, there are benefits to being a curmudgeonly grandparent too - like being honest about your love of staying inside, getting to wear comfy clothes, saying no to things that don't sound like fun to you and spending time on hobbies that you love, even if everyone else thinks that they're boring or pointless. With all that in mind, the only question is where you fall on this spectrum from old soul to young at heart, and you can find that out by taking this quiz!
About Go Social ▼▲
Founded in 2016, Go Social started small. Beginning as a blog posting on 80s and 90s life as well as the movies, music and television of the era, Eighties Kids has in a short space of time exploded in scope and ambition. Operating out of Eighties Kids HQ in sunny Ilkley, in the North of England, today a growing team of writers produces original content day in and day out for one of the best new nostalgia sites on the web.
With the site also growing beyond its original remit, the Go Social team now covers not just trivia from the 80s and 90s, but pop culture of all decades that’s of interest to children of the 80s, 90s and beyond. From shocking and obscure fact posts on your favourite movies and bands, to quizzes on classic TV shows and film franchises, to picture galleries on celebrities from past and present, Eighties Kids is here to take you down memory lane, test your knowledge of classic pop culture and maybe even occasionally blow your mind.
